So you want to know a little about me? Well, thanks for stopping by, I’m flattered you’d ask and I hope my personal story doesn’t disappoint.
If like me you love a good contemporary lesbian romance story, then you’ve found yourself in good company. My books are filled with strong, elegant women. From billionaires and age gap romances, to ice-queens and happily ever afters to keep your heart pumping.
Thinking back to my childhood I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t reading, writing, or reading and writing. I have always been a lover of fiction.
Growing up I loved anything and everything romance. From Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and Groundhog Day, to Pretty Woman, Titanic and The Devil Wears Prada. However, something was always missing, and I couldn’t fully relate.
Knowing I could never find the exact kind of romance novels and movies I wanted, I decided to start writing my own about people like me. Filled with smart, strong and successful women who can also be vulnerable, with a good amount of steamy love scenes and heat thrown into the mix for good measure.
I write the kinds of stories I wish were more accessible when I was growing up. While today there is of course more representation in the LGBT field, I feel that Lesbian books, movies and stories are still a bit too thin and far between. So I hope to be apart of the solution by bringing my writing to the table.
When not reading or writing, I love to spend time outdoors. I find being wrapped in nature to be a great stress reliever, a fantastic way to clear your mind and soul. I also find a bit of Yoga helps with that too ;-).
Most school nights you’ll find me curled up on the sofa with a nice hot cuppa tea watching something on Netflix and chewing on some of my favorite chocolate – Cadbury Dairy Milk. Show me a girl who doesn’t love chocolate right?
Favorite food? I couldn’t possibly pick just one. Apart from an Afternoon Tea (Tea with Scones), a good Fish ‘n’ Chips and good ol’ Sunday roast by an open fire, I like everything from Italian, to Chinese, Mexican to Georgian, Thai and Korean cuisine too. Variety is the spice of life after all…
If you haven’t guessed by now I’m a British 30-something women loving women and lesbian romance author. While the UK is my main base, I have moved around quite a bit and consider myself to be a global citizen and adventurer at heart with an open mind and love for travel.
There is just something so refreshing and interesting about experiencing a new culture in a foreign land. Traveling opens the mind, stimulates creativity and gives you a sense of appreciation for the world. I hope everyone has the opportunity to experience it.
As a writer I pour my heart and soul into my books and so there is nothing more rewarding and encouraging than having an audience who appreciates what you do.
I can’t imagine doing anything else and on that note I sincerely thank you for being here, supporting my work, buying my books and making it possible for me to do my dream job.
